In other words, sucks (Rangers) versus really sucks (Red Wings).
GO BLUE JACKETS!
And to think, Henry…I used to respect you.
Only you could bring Ragnar and me into total agreement – you poser!
Seriously, what do you think of the actual merits of hockey being the last game in a baseball stadium?
Hockey is certainly alot more exciting than baseball.
I think they’re equally exciting yet two very different contests of skill and ability.
However, should a building that has been primarily used for baseball for a majority of its storied history close out with what some might call a promotional gimmick by the NHL?
I L-O-V-E hockey, but Yankee Stadium needs the boys of summer to close out its day in the sun.
Brian,
If the Flyers were playing, you’d probably be singing a different tune.
Yankee Stadium is the shrine of Baseball. If a hockey game was played in this stadium (and Steinbrenner gave the go-ahead), I would no longer cheer for the Yankees. I agree with Brian on this one, because Yankee Stadium belongs to the boys of summer.
Red Wings crushing the Rangers in Yankee Stadium? It would be like experiencing a bit of heaven – Even better, how about a few octopi flying onto the ice, or Steinbrenner’s head…
Can we bring back Stevie Y for one more game?
@ Crystal Clear Conservative:
you’re statement makes no sense. you say it is the shrine of baseball and won’t cheer for them if they play a hockey game there. yet, you’re still a fan after they decide to demolish your so-called shrine??
