Very interesting article and I think the lines are already being drawn between a T. Kilgore candidacy and Cuccinelli.

Normally I would agree with Jerry Kilgore's comments about the importance of rural Virginia with a NOVA candidate, which is basically a smackdown of Cuccinelli but Cuccinelli is anything but a normal NOVA candidate. Cuccinelli has statewide appeal with his unabashed conservatism in a liberal-moderate district. Hardcore conservatives who care about pro-life, pro-marriage, and pro-family will flock to Cuccinelli in large numbers not seen in a long time in both rural and the suberbs.

Terry Kilgore would also make an excellent candidate but I get a strong feeling that if Cuccinelli decides to run, the race is essentially over because of Cuccinelli's strong statewide appeal with his past advocacy. Terry Kilgore will be a very strong candidate down the road but I do think its the wrong year for him.
