Is this week’s person of the week…
Del. Lacey Putney, Chairman, House Appropriations Committee? He put together a budget that overwhelmingly passed the House of Delegates in a bi-partisan manner.
Sen. Thomas Norment, Minority Leader? He unified the GOP to oppose the governor’s and Senate Democrats’ budget which raids the Rainy Day Fund, allocates lottery money away from school construction, and doesn’t fund health care as much as the House budget.
or…
Gov. Tim Kaine? He underestimated revenues for the budget by $1.4 Billion and ignored warnings from Lt. Gov. Bolling, Del. Putney and others since December, choosing, instead, to fund his new programs, such as Pre-K.

The winner will be announced on the podcast this Wednesday.

I think William F. Buckley Jr. should be Person of the Week.
