Thanks for “bearing” with me
By | Saturday, February 23rd, 2008 | Catch-All

I have made several changes to Bearing Drift over the past few weeks in hopes of making the site better.

The site is now easier to read, has a valid feed, and loads faster.

Yesterday, I changed to a new web host, which is why it looks like I’m starting over again.

There is a possibility that I may recover the database from the old web host, which contains our most recent posts and pages. But that would involve technical skill and patience.

So, there is something to be said for starting fresh: some of the best plant growth comes from a scorched earth; Chicago was revitalized after the great fire; and, in a few years, Virginia Republicans might start winning elections again.

Just a note, i’m happy to volunteer my services (such as they may be) to migrate the archive if you choose to pursue that route. Either way, glad to see the issues i was seeing were transitory :) .
